ProSource Industries takes quality management very serious. ProSource uses the AS9100C and ISO 9001:2008 requirements to continually improve the organization. Continual improvement is achieved by establishing measurable objectives as well as meeting the objectives. Each measurable objective has a target, actual and trend lines to indicate planned result are achieved or not. When measurable objectives are not achieved, a corrective action may be issued to assess and correct the issue. This is the best way to view ProSource Industries progressions. Some of the Measurable Objectives that are measured are:

  • On time delivery
  • Cost of quality
  • Vendor performance
  • Production efficiencies
  • Customer returns
  • Internal rejections
  • Supplier rejections

Measurable objectives are generally derived from some sort of planning. ProSource excels in its ability to plan. There are three areas in which ProSource plans heavily.

  1. Risk Management: This is where we identify potentials risks in quoting, contract review, order acceptance, purchasing, vendor selections, and manufacturing. Risk management is built into all of our processes and has identified the mitigation for these potential risks. This has helped ProSource Industries become a proactive supplier as opposed the reactive supplier.
  2. Project Management: From quoting an order to shipping an order, the projects or jobs run through a series of management systems. All of which allow ProSource to streamline orders with precision quality.
  3. Configuration Management: This type of planning offers exception identification and traceability. Most of the functions are run through our ERP system, Exact Software. It is just as important for the customer to know the order status as it is to ProSource. Furthermore, it is incredibly important to know ProSource Industries has the capabilities to trace back to manufacturers, equipment and personal that was used on any job.

One of the biggest misconceptions of a QMS or Quality Management System is that it only pertains to product quality. This is NOT the case at all. Product quality is only one module of the QMS. It is important, but not anymore important than any other requirement of ISO 9001:2008 or AS9100C.

ProSource Industries Quality System does a very simple thing. And that thing is, improve on time delivery, continually improve the QMS and improve customer satisfaction. We achieve these three things by doing the following:
